ELKI Playgroup – Loving Part-Time Care for Children from 18 Months

Our super­vised play­group offers chil­dren from 18 months up to kinder­garten age a gentle, play­ful intro­duc­tion to group life.
Twice a week, the chil­dren exper­i­ence a famil­i­ar, small com­munity where they can play, sing, explore, and form their first friend­ships.

Costs

  • €100 per month

  • One-time regis­tra­tion fee: €100

  • Plus €10 per month for snacks & mater­i­als

Schedule

  • 2 morn­ings per week, 9:15–11:45

  • Group days vary by play­group (e.g., Monday/Wednesday)

Group Size & Staffing

  • Max. 10 chil­dren per group

  • 2 care­givers

  • Ratio: 1:5

We cur­rently run three play­groups, each meet­ing on two fixed morn­ings per week.
All groups are sup­por­ted bilin­gually (German/English).

A Morning in Our Playgroup

The daily routine provides struc­ture while leav­ing plenty of room for free play and dis­cov­ery:

  • Arrival & free play

  • Singing circle / wel­come song

  • Song time

  • More free play

  • Shared snack

  • Guided activ­it­ies
    (craft­ing, play­dough, read­ing, sea­son­al pro­jects)

  • Clos­ing songs

The play­group gently pre­pares chil­dren for kinder­garten through repe­ti­tion, rituals, and lots of joy­ful move­ment.

Who is the Playgroup for?

For mem­ber chil­dren aged 18 months to about 3 years who are ready to gain their first group exper­i­ence in a warm and secure set­ting.

Parent Involvement

As a par­ent ini­ti­at­ive, ELKI thrives on the sup­port of its fam­il­ies.
We wel­come help in vari­ous areas — as sub­sti­tute care­givers, at events, or in the café.
Togeth­er we build a strong, sup­port­ive com­munity.
